Speech Language Pathology (SLP) | Escondido, California
A specialized speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed at a premier inpatient rehabilitation hospital focused on acute recovery. This role supports individuals overcoming severe injuries or illnesses, delivering customized therapy to improve function and quality of life. The hospital is a 52-bed facility dedicated to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological disorders, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic conditions.

Schedule & Contract
- Sunday through Thursday shifts requested (with option of 2 Sundays per month with Monday–Friday schedule)
- Minimum 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- Part-time option available (20–30 hours per week) with at least 2 Sundays per month required

Qualifications and Experience
- Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Expertise in treating neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation patients
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs
- Provide intensive therapy to improve speech, swallowing, cognitive-communication, and related functions
- Document progress and collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient outcomes
