Speech & Language Pathology - Sunnyvale, California
A rewarding opportunity is available for a full-time Speech Therapist specializing in skilled nursing care. This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and involves working at a well-established 256-bed skilled nursing facility that offers a supportive environment with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include providing speech therapy services to a diverse patient population across skilled nursing, sub-acute, and memory care units. Collaborating closely with other speech therapists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, you will contribute to comprehensive patient care plans. Experience with electronic medical records is beneficial as the facility utilizes Nethealth and PCC, but training and mentorship are provided for those new to these systems or to skilled nursing environments.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure and certification
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large, multidisciplinary therapy team
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Nethealth and PCC EMR systems
- Strong clinical and communication skills to enhance patient outcomes
