A full-time Speech Therapist opportunity is available at a 256-bed skilled nursing facility located in Sunnyvale, CA. This contract role offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary team comprising over 20 therapists alongside experienced nursing staff. The facility features three skilled nursing stations, a sub-acute unit, and a locked memory care unit, providing a diverse patient population for clinical growth and experience.
Responsibilities include providing high-quality speech therapy services to residents, coordinating with occupational and physical therapists, and contributing to comprehensive patient care plans. Candidates will utilize electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Nethealth and PCC systems; training and mentorship are available for therapists unfamiliar with these platforms or skilled nursing environments.
Qualifications:
- Valid license and certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience or willingness to learn within a skilled nursing facility setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team of therapists and nursing staff
- Proficiency or openness to training in Nethealth and PCC EMR systems
