Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations using standardized assessments to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to implement effective clinical interventions and document patient progress accurately.
- Provide consultations and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding speech and communication disorders.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams to discuss patient progress and address treatment barriers.
- Deliver comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain meticulous patient records in accordance with company policy.
- Participate actively in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as required trainings and in-services.
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Adhere strictly to ASHA and State professional practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active ASHA certification and State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and providing therapy for a variety of speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Experience with electronic documentation systems and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Ability to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies per clinical guidelines.
