This 13-week travel assignment allows you to apply your expertise across skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living settings, supporting residents with a range of complex diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation and therapy for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Maintain clear, timely documentation using electronic medical records
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers to promote therapy carryover and functional progress
- Foster a positive, supportive environment within the therapy team
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Maryland state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to diverse resident needs
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to improving patients’ quality of life
