A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed for a hospital rehabilitation setting in Seattle, WA. This contract role focuses on providing occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients within a comprehensive medical rehabilitation program.
Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, implementing appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The Therapist will supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and students, while ensuring compliance with professional standards and facility policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
- Experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred but not required
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to assess and manage patient pain to promote optimal function
- Competency in occupational therapy modalities and equipment usage
- Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
