Speech Pathologist in Mound City, MO

Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients presenting communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide clinical interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify services based on outcomes.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all therapy sessions within the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies per clinical standards.
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student SLPs.
- Adhere to ASHA and state licensure requirements, codes of conduct, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active ASHA certification and state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings preferred.
- Strong ability to utilize evidence-based assessment tools and treatment methodologies.
