Provide expert Speech Language Pathology services to a diverse adult patient population in a dynamic hospital setting. This travel opportunity requires a dedicated SLP to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for general medical, stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and bedside patients, with occasional collaboration involving neonatal intensive care units. The role also includes clinical department support, supervision of students and volunteers, and active participation in performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities for inpatients and outpatients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, involving patients and families.
- Maintain meticulous documentation including patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in patient and family care conferences and provide effective counseling and education.
- Coordinate and supervise Speech Language Pathology student and volunteer programs.
- Contribute to department operations including orientation, scheduling, and staff supervision.
- Uphold departmental productivity standards and support performance improvement activities.
- Foster professional relationships with medical staff and community agencies.
- Adapt assessment and treatment methods to meet patients’ unique developmental and cultural needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year per American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) guidelines.
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Texas and certified by ASHA.
- Must hold current BLS certification (AHA).
- Proficient with all standard assessment and treatment tools relevant to the specialty.
- Able to pass pre-employment and annual health screenings.

- Thursday through Monday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
