Speech & Language Pathology - Oneida, NY
This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized care in a long-term care (LTC) setting. The position requires a professional licensed in New York State with a strong background in speech therapy within a rehabilitation and nursing center environment. Key Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited college/university program in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Eligible for or holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Demonstrated LTC experience is required
- Proficient in MS Office and Epic/EMR software applications
- Sound knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system
- Strong communication and assessment skills to accurately evaluate and guide patient care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate effectively with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
- Utilize electronic medical records to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information
- Provide compassionate and evidence-based therapy services in a long-term care environment
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Location: Position based in Oneida, NY, offering candidates the advantage of working within about a 75-mile radius. Local applicants are welcome and will receive a commensurate rate. Oneida is known for its community-focused living, surrounded by scenic views and accessible amenities that balance small-town charm with convenient access to larger urban centers.
