Speech Therapist in Savannah, MO
A clinical opportunity exists for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert evaluation and therapy services to patients facing communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and rehabilitation sessions for patients with speech and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on standardized assessments.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment approaches as needed, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify services to ensure maximum patient benefit.
- Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and any barriers to treatment.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries compliant with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and other required meetings.
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians and student SLPs.
- Maintain compliance with ASHA standards, state licensure requirements, and ethical practice regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active ASHA certification and valid state licensure.
- Proven experience evaluating and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and clinical documentation standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative care.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior clinicians or students.
