Speech Therapist in Silver Spring, MD

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Minimum of 3 years acute care experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Maryland Professional License (PMD License)
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech therapy assessments and treatments to patients in an acute care hospital
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records via Cerner
- Participate in patient and family education regarding therapy plans and techniques
- Work a Tuesday through Saturday shift, including one weekend day per week
- Typical schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts from 08:00 to 16:30
