Location:
Situated in the serene town of Virgie, KY, near Pikeville, this role places you in the heart of Eastern Kentucky’s Appalachian region. The area boasts beautiful natural landscapes and a close-knit community, offering a peaceful yet engaging lifestyle outside of work.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluation and treatment consistent with acute care and inpatient rehabilitation protocols
- Float between acute care and rehab units as needed for patient coverage
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation using Epic charting system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, including COVID-19 vaccination protocols or weekly PCR testing if applicable
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Kentucky state license and BLS certification required
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in healthcare settings, preferably acute care and inpatient rehab
- Proficient in Epic electronic medical record system
- Ability to manage change effectively, demonstrate resilience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance, wearing navy blue scrubs as required
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Every 4th weekend coverage and holidays as needed
- No on-call or call-back duties
