Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and rehabilitation for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans adhering to regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatments accordingly; provide comprehensive discharge summaries.
- Document all clinical and regulatory information accurately within electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare team members, patients, and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization reviews.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies as required.
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Adhere to ASHA and state licensure requirements, practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active ASHA certification and State licensure in speech-language pathology.
- Proven experience assessing and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in hospital or healthcare settings.
- Ability to perform accurate documentation according to clinical and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience supervising or mentoring CFY or student clinicians is highly desirable.
