Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Edison, NJ

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to develop and revise individualized plans of care.
- Implement therapy programs including safe swallowing techniques, cognitive training, and therapeutic exercises.
- Maintain safe environments through risk assessments and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Document patient progress and education, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary communication and participate in team meetings to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage case documentation and adhere to scheduling requirements for home visits.
- Utilize personal vehicle to travel to patient homes and facilities as required.
- Support agency growth by assisting with staff orientation, cross-training, and other assignments.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with current licensure.
- Experience in hospital and home care therapy settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of home health care regulations and insurance reimbursement.
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage schedule effectively and adapt to patient needs in diverse environments.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits.
