Speech Therapist in Moscow, ID
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position starting in April to cover maternity leave. This role involves evaluating patients and providing therapeutic interventions for communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and supporting patient and family education to achieve optimal functional independence and patient-centered outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions in outpatient, inpatient, and acute rehabilitation unit (ARU) settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines
- Educate patients and families to enhance treatment outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid Idaho SLP license (must be attached to resume)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a speech language pathologist in rehab or ARU settings
- Experience working with outpatient, inpatient, and ARU populations
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Rotating Saturdays required
