This 13-week contract position at a respected senior living community in Dover, DE, offers a dynamic environment to provide specialized therapy across skilled nursing, personal care, and independent living settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations and deliver personalized therapy services to senior residents.
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focused on communication improvement and quality of life enhancement.
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary rehab team, nursing staff, and healthcare partners to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using designated software, with training provided if needed.
- Foster a supportive and resident-centered approach within the therapy department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing for the state.
- Proven experience in speech therapy, preferably within senior care settings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Completion of a two-step PPD or TB skin test within 30 days of employment start.
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the Red Cross.
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination verification or approved exemption.
- Clear background check and fingerprinting.
- A professional and compassionate attitude towards patient care.
