Speech & Language Pathology - Hagerstown, MD
A licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide expert care in an acute hospital environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with various diagnoses in an acute care setting.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to guide clinical decision-making.
- Participate in departmental programs and quality initiatives.
- Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams as appropriate.
- Maintain productivity standards and prioritize patient care efficiently.
- Potential supervision of students when available.
- Adhere strictly to ethical and regulatory guidelines.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Speech-Language Pathology certification (CCC-SLP) required.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland (pending licenses considered).
- Experience in acute care preferred, ASHA certification is a plus.
- Open to candidates with a minimum of one year of experience.
- Comfortable working 1:1 with patients.
- Ability to work a day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Willingness to cover approximately one weekend per month.
