Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to patient needs and goals.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to patient discharge, including equipment trials, family education, and discharge planning.
• Manage caseload flexibly, providing individual, concurrent, and group therapy sessions as indicated.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation including daily notes, goal writing, quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and discharge summaries in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Ensure all patient care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Participate in student training programs, fostering a positive learning environment and evaluating students as appropriate.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Promote safety by adhering to hospital safety protocols and encouraging a culture of patient and employee safety.
• Engage in continuous professional development, advocacy efforts, and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid SLP licensure in good standing.
• Experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings with critical illness patients preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered care approach.
