Sunbelt Therapy - Hospital - SLP Contract Today Apply

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services for patients in a rehabilitation setting, supporting recovery and improved quality of life. This contract role involves evaluating and treating patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Accurate documentation and patient-centered care are essential components of this position.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist license (must be attached)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an SLP in a rehabilitation or Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) setting
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams

Location: The role is based in Lewiston, Idaho, a vibrant city known for its scenic riverfront, outdoor recreation, and friendly community atmosphere. Lewiston offers an excellent quality of life with access to hiking, fishing, and cultural events, making it an appealing place to live and work.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to patient needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and support family education
  • Provide coverage on rotating Saturday shifts in the ARU, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Rotating Saturdays to cover ARU services
