Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to acute care patients based on physician orders
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of speech and swallowing disorders
- Manage care for patients in ICU, stroke units, and other acute care settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care speech-language pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment, including MBS/FEES proficiency, is preferred but not required
- Ability to work varied schedules, including a minimum of 2 weekends per 4 weeks (preferred 4 weekends)
Schedule
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some schedule variation
- Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks; 4 weekends per 4 weeks preferred
