Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to the communicatively handicapped population.
- Document patient history, evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner using EPIC software.
- Engage patients and their families in therapeutic goal setting and intervention processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain professional conduct aligning with departmental policies and ethical standards.
- Manage scheduling to ensure efficient delivery of therapeutic services.
- Participate in departmental audits and peer reviews as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
- Valid Texas SLP License or SLP Intern License with fulfillment of all licensing requirements.
- American Speech and Hearing Association certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Basic computer skills, with preferred experience using EPIC documentation software.
- BLS certification (AHA required).
- Open to new graduates and experienced therapists alike.
- Preferred certifications: VitalStim and LSVT, especially for candidates with outpatient experience.
Schedule:
- Full time, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
