Location: Glen Allen, VA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver therapy for a variety of diagnoses including speech and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehab setting.
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies to assess swallowing function.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with a team of rehabilitation professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation within an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts approximately once per month and provide occasional on-call assistance.
- Adhere to the department’s dress code, favoring black scrub bottoms with royal blue or acceptable alternative scrub tops.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Virginia state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with adult populations in a medical setting.
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Neurological experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a patient-focused, flexible, and team-oriented environment.
