Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting.
  • Employ evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate actively in departmental programs and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise students as available.
  • Adhere to productivity standards and prioritize patient care effectively.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP).
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Maryland; pending licenses considered.
  • Acute care experience preferred, ASHA membership desirable.
  • Open to candidates with 1+ year of experience.
  • Commitment to ethical professional practice.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
  • Weekend shifts expected approximately once per month to cover departmental needs.
