A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized care in an acute care hospital environment. Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting.
- Employ evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate actively in departmental programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise students as available.
- Adhere to productivity standards and prioritize patient care effectively.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP).
- Licensed or license-eligible in Maryland; pending licenses considered.
- Acute care experience preferred, ASHA membership desirable.
- Open to candidates with 1+ year of experience.
- Commitment to ethical professional practice.
Schedule:
- Day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
- Weekend shifts expected approximately once per month to cover departmental needs.
