Speech Therapist in Elyria, OH
A part-time outpatient position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric care. Schedule
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and implement speech-language therapy programs according to Ohio state laws and professional standards.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and treatment teams to maximize functional outcomes.
- Administer appropriate tests and assessments, ensuring all pre-certification and authorization requirements are met.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust interventions based on patient progress.
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers, including discharge planning and recommendations for assistive devices.
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education and participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Ohio license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or a conditional license under supervised Professional Experience Plan.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
- Preferred but not required: Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and VitalStim training.
