Speech & Language Pathology - Cumming, GA
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for neuro or inpatient rehabilitation. Based in Cumming, GA, you will contribute your expertise to a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital devoted to helping patients recover from severe injuries and illnesses.
The facility specializes in comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. You will be working alongside skilled professionals using advanced therapeutic equipment such as Bioness Vector, Senaptec, and Neuro VR to provide individualized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for neuro, orthopedic, and geriatric patients.
- Develop and implement customized rehabilitation plans focused on patient recovery and maximizing function.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Document treatments and progress in electronic health records with tools like EPIC and Rehab Connect.
- Participate in weekend shifts on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Georgia SLP license.
- Minimum of one year experience with neuro or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Familiarity with GG Quality Indicators is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional yet approachable demeanor, able to foster enjoyable treatment environments.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week.
- Day shifts with weekend rotation.
- No on-call assignments.
