- Willingness to work a minimum of two weekends per four-week period
Location: Situated in Boerne, TX, this inpatient rehab unit features a 32-bed capacity staffed by approximately 35 therapists and 50 nurses. The facility is equipped with advanced therapy tools and utilizes Meditech EMR systems. Therapists provide daily treatments approximately 5 to 6 hours per day, focusing on advanced ADL training, comprehensive evaluations, and inpatient rehab protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver skilled speech and language therapy tailored to inpatient rehab needs
- Foster a flexible approach to treatment, including weekend shifts as required
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, and rehab aides to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to unit policies including specific attire guidelines and weekend/on-call requirements
