Travel Speech Therapy - Woodstock, Georgia
Deliver specialized speech-language pathology services in an acute care hospital setting, providing expert care to patients across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders.
- Provide therapy for diverse cases including ICU patients, stroke and neurological conditions, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes throughout the hospital stay.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital-based speech-language pathology.
- Valid GA License for Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP certification.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Prior acute care experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency in MBS/FEES assessments considered a strong advantage but not mandatory.
Schedule:
- Typical hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., schedule may vary.
- Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks required; 4 weekends preferred.
