Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for long-term care patients
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to support patient goals
  • Collaborate effectively with medical and house staff to coordinate care
  • Utilize proficiency in MS Office and Epic/EMR software for documentation and reporting
  • Apply knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical practices in speech-language pathology based on current standards and guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association with a degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Eligible for or holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Proven experience in long-term care settings
  • Strong communication and assessment skills to facilitate accurate patient evaluations and therapy outcomes
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Epic, and MS Office applications

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shifts

This contract role offers a local assignment within a 75-mile radius, with rates reflective of local standards. Candidates with long-term care experience are highly preferred for this position.
