Speech Pathologist - Bolivar, MO
Provide expert speech-language pathology services to patients experiencing communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and treatment of patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care aligned with regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions to support clinical decisions.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
- Accurately document all clinical interventions, treatment minutes, and patient progress per regulatory requirements.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility trainings.
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians or student speech-language pathologists as needed.
- Maintain compliance with ASHA and state licensure requirements, codes of conduct, and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current active ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in hospital-based therapy, preferably involving diverse patient populations.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech-language pathology practices.
- Ability to use electronic medical records for documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
