Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, cognitive, or swallowing impairments following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions for treatment planning and progress evaluation.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatments as necessary, documenting all clinical activities accurately in electronic records.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and care plans.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries according to clinical and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in patient care conferences and facility training sessions.
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student speech-language pathologists, as needed.
- Comply with ASHA guidelines and state licensure requirements, maintaining professional ethics and conduct.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and documentation protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
