Responsibilities:

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, cognitive, or swallowing impairments following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions for treatment planning and progress evaluation.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatments as necessary, documenting all clinical activities accurately in electronic records.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and care plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries according to clinical and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and facility training sessions.
  • Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student speech-language pathologists, as needed.
  • Comply with ASHA guidelines and state licensure requirements, maintaining professional ethics and conduct.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active ASHA certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and documentation protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
