Providing expert care in pediatric speech therapy, this contract opportunity involves diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders within a hospital outpatient setting. The role focuses on rehabilitative treatment programs tailored to children with various communicative challenges, including neurologically impaired patients. Solid experience in pediatric outpatient care and proficiency with a comprehensive range of speech disorders is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating speech and language abilities considering educational, medical, social, and psychological factors
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment programs to improve communication skills
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including occupational and physical therapists and local providers
  • Adhering to state licensing requirements and maintaining professional standards
  • Utilizing Epic electronic medical records system efficiently
  • Ensuring regular and predictable attendance and fulfilling other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Current State of Idaho Speech Language Pathologist licensure or temporary provisional permit
  • Minimum of one year experience working with pediatric neurologically impaired populations
  • Expertise in treating pediatric speech disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC device use, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
  • Proven competency in outpatient pediatric care settings
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required
