Teletherapy School Speech Language Pathologist, Nevada
Carson, NV
Vocovision is in need of a Speech Language Pathologist's for a full-time, remote, work from home job starting immediately in a great school district in Nevada. The SLP selected for this opportunity will be responsible for a K-8 caseload of students and should have at least 2 years of school-based experience. In addition to increased flexibility in a remote position, teletherapy eliminates transportation concerns and allows clinicians to provide services to students in areas who are unable to be staffed with on-site professionals.
Requirements
- Nevada State Licensure as an SLP
- Nevada Teaching Certification
- ASHA CCC’s
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
- Ability to obtain liability insurance
- Two years of prior school-based experience as an SLP (some exceptions apply)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose levels of speech-language difficulty.
- Develop IEP’s to address specific functional needs of each student.
- Work with students to improve sentence structure and vocabulary.
- Engage students in goal planning, monitoring of progress, and self-advocacy.
- Respond to the individual needs of each specific student throughout the course of treatment.
- Effectively communicate with administration and teachers within the school to facilitate student progress in the classroom.
- Engage parent or guardian in program implementation and decision making.
- Assist in the development of speech and language skills to facilitate students’ personal development.
