Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual school team. As a virtual SLP, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in an online learning environment. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, parents/guardians, and support staff to support the communication needs of students and help them achieve their academic and social-emotional goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions to address students' speech and language goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students through virtual platforms, using evidence-based practices and innovative strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals to support students' speech and language needs in the virtual classroom and home settings.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjust intervention plans as needed, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay informed about best practices, research, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology, and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working as an SLP in a school or educational setting, preferably in virtual or online environments.
- Knowledge of and experience with telepractice platforms and technology used in virtual therapy sessions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the communication needs and overall development of students.
