Position Overview: Soliant Education is currently seeking a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Portola Valley, CA. The SLPA will work within K-12th grade settings, providing support to students with speech and language disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assist in the assessment of students' communication abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in therapy sessions.
- Provide support during classroom activities to facilitate language development.
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
- SLPA certification or license from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
