Job Description: Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school in Asheville, AL, to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders. This position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing therapy to improve communication, articulation, language, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to support student learning and development.
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in IEP meetings and other team meetings.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Alabama state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children is desirable.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
