Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. This may include:
- Holding a valid Oregon license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Possessing a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Demonstrating proficiency in conducting assessments and providing therapy for students with speech and language disorders.
- Passing a background check and any additional screenings required by the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students' communication skills and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals, in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, using evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and social success through effective communication.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy interventions as needed to meet individualized goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, and progress reports according to district and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other collaborative activities to support student learning and achievement.
