Position Overview: As a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized intervention plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals and needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings, targeting speech and language goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and curriculum
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Oregon license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and speech-language pathology
