Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting
- Assess students' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
State-Specific Requirements (Illinois):
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) for those without CCC
- Compliance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations for school-based SLPs
