Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Moab, UT
Pay Rate:
- $49/hour for SLP
- $42/hour for SLPA
A School District in Moab, Utah, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. This position involves working with a diverse caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students, providing therapy and supporting the development of communication skills. We are open to considering Clinical Fellows (CFs) and experienced SLPAs.
Caseload Details:
- Approximately 70 students across elementary, middle, and high school.
- Weekly pay with competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and minutes.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students on your caseload.
- Ensure compliance with annual IEP meetings and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IEP team members, including teachers and parents, to coordinate and hold IEP meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required documentation.
- Support students' communication development in both individual and group settings.
Requirements:
- For SLPs: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid SLP license in Utah.
- For SLPAs: Completion of an SLPA program and appropriate certification/licensure in Utah.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability when working with a diverse caseload.
