Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
State-Specific Requirements (California):
- California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
- California Department of Education (CDE) Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Completion of California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) and California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) if applicable
