School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Job Type: Fulltime, Flexible Contract
Pay: $40/Hour
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Soliant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' communication and language development. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders that may impede students' academic success. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to their overall well-being and academic achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' communication needs in the classroom and other educational settings.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development of students' educational plans.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legal requirements related to speech-language pathology services in educational settings.
- Serve as a resource to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development and strategies for supporting students with communication disorders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Colorado state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the educational environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice.
