Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Position Available in Kansas City, Missouri!
Are you passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills? Our dynamic team is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join us!
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in conducting assessments and evaluations of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Implement individualized therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients, including implementing exercises and activities to improve speech and language skills.
- Assist clients with the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, if applicable.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP and other members of the therapy team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Provide support and guidance to clients and their families or caregivers.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others.
