Description:
The Dudley-Charlton Regional School District is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The position involves working 32 hours a week with an emphasis on addressing intensive needs at the elementary level.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to students with diverse needs.
- Focus on straight articulation and communication development for non-verbal students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to implement effective speech and language interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- SLPA certification.
- Experience working with elementary-level students, particularly those with intensive needs.
- Knowledge of straight articulation techniques and strategies for non-verbal ASD students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
