Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Position
Phoenix, AZ
We are actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants for full-time roles with school districts in the Phoenix, Arizona area for the upcoming school year. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in the state of Arizona
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to Speech Language Pathologists in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders
- Implement therapy plans as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist
- Assist in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and documenting student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Conduct speech and language screenings and assist in the evaluation process
