Pay: Starting at $30 per hour
Job Description: We are currently seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to fill a contract position in a school setting in California. The current SLPA is going on medical leave, and we are looking for a capable individual to fill this role immediately until June 19th.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Implement treatment plans and activities designed by the supervising SLP.
- Assist in assessing students' communication skills and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Requirements:
- Valid SLPA license issued by the state of California.
- State clearances and background checks as required.
- Prior experience working as an SLPA in a school or pediatric setting preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
