Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team near San Jose, CA. This is a full-time position for the entire school year, working with an elementary caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders in students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the guidance of the Speech Language Pathologist.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, targeting speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' progress and integrate therapy into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress, maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and updates on students' therapy goals and progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Valid certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with elementary students is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
