Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: West Orlando, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position in West Orlando, FL. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language therapy services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments of clients' speech and language abilities.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a clinical or educational setting.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
