As an SLP, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, working closely with educators, parents, and fellow professionals to create tailored treatment plans and deliver therapy services to enhance students' communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders across different grade levels
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and parents, and implement them effectively
- Deliver therapy services targeting various aspects of communication, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language
- Monitor student progress, make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and maintain detailed records
- Actively participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, along with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY
- Educator certification required
- Bring prior experience working with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and independent work skills
- Have a solid understanding of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
