Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist or Assistant (SLP/SLPA), you will play a crucial role in helping students develop their communication skills and reach their full potential. From conducting assessments to providing therapy services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students every day.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy services to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents/guardians, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Valid license or certification as an SLP or SLPA in the state of Indiana.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to meet all state and local requirements for SLPs/SLPAs, including background check and continuing education.
