Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time, school-based position in Oakland, CA. As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with special education students and their families, making a meaningful impact on their lives. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Compliance with all local and state regulations
- Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Rate: $40-$45 per hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including but not limited to articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
- Collaborate with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, teachers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement therapy goals.
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech and language disorders.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and home-based strategies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' speech and language needs.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other regulatory bodies.
